About Pastor Dr. Demetris Crum

Dr. Demetris Crum accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan, and was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. F.O. Hockenhull.  He was licensed to preach the Gospel and later ordained at Second Union Baptist Church in Columbia, SC, under the leadership of Pastor Andrew B. Scott.

Dr. Crum earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from Michigan State University, a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Teaching and Preaching from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Crum’s career has allowed him and his family to relocate multiple times, and in God’s providence, he has served under great leaders and mentors.  In addition to the pastoral care and mentorship of both Rev. Dr. Hockenhull (d) and Pastor Andrew B. Scott, Dr. Crum served as Associate Minister at the Christian Valley Missionary Baptist Church in North Chicago, IL, under the late Rev. Henry Woods Sr., and current Pastor, Rev. Anthony Morgan Sr.

Dr. Crum is the Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  He and the congregation actively serve the community and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Dr. Crum is also a board member of Kenosha Christian Academy and a proud Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity member, where he serves in leadership at the regional and chapter levels.

Dr. Crum is married to Joye Crum, and God has blessed them with a beautiful daughter, Joycelyn Crum.

Dr. Crum is a strong advocate of Christian Education.  His motto is, “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.  Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”  (Psalm 25:4-5)
